Back to School: Role Play, Kink & Discipline

Explore the world of kinks centered on the classroom; discipline inspired by the British school system, teacher & student role play, the evil gym teacher, and many other educationally inspired elements to enhance your play.

First things first, let’s get some inspiration via history – or rather, let’s “remember” things in a much sexier way than they actually happened. Our main focus will be the British School System, which has inspired many naughty fantasies (or nightmares). The 1950 school experience in the USA is similarly romanticized in a lot of dirty dreams, so we will draw from that misremembered history as well. Get out your rose-tinted glasses and prepare your sense of nostalgia for a trip through the “good old days” that inspires so much play today.

A big part of the appeal of school role-play is the unique and interesting implements that were used. Some are common in kinky circles, such as canes or straps. Others you may not be as familiar with, such as birches, switches or the tawse. We will also take a look at a number of classroom pervertables that will add to the atmosphere of your scenes without breaking the bank. We will cover general safety, basic use and some of the more specific to school techniques, like hand strapping.

Finally, we will draw all of it together to create some fun and sexy scenes. This includes ideas for costuming, creating a classroom playspace and invoking the power differential inherent in the teacher/student relationship. We will also look at a number of more traditional school scenarios as well as a few that flip the typical narrative on its head.

Canes: From Sensual to Severe

Canes are an implement that strikes fear into even the most masochistic of bottoms because they are often used incorrectly. In the right hands, canes can be a wonderfully sensuous toy as well as a harsh tool for discipline.

The workshop starts off with an anatomy and safety lesson. We learn about how the force is transferred from the cane to the skin and why canes can be dangerous in the wrong hands. We will discuss the precautions that should be taken when playing with a toy that is made from a natural, porous material that can also draw blood under the right circumstances.

The workshop will teach you about appropriate cane materials and cane maintenance. A good cane can last many years with proper care and a little TLC. We will discuss the differences between straight canes and canes with a curved handle as well as learning cane terminology.

We will learn a number of different cane strokes and when to apply them. We will focus both on lighter play techniques, as well as ‘cold caning’ or punishment caning for those more interested in the discipline side of canes.

Foot Forture & Bastinado

Foot torture is a varied and intense form of play that appeals to a wide range of kinksters, foot fetishists, masochists, and those just looking for something new and different.

We will begin with the anatomy of the foot to better understand the safety concerns surrounding this sort of play. Foot torture has the potential to cause serious, long term damage if one isn’t careful.

We will explore different techniques to use on our bottom, from traditional methods, such as bastinado to other, more modern approaches. Learn how to use a single technique or how to combine them for an interesting scene that will keep your bottom on their toes.

Electrical play, sensation, tickling, temperature and impact will be used to achieve the exquisite agony – or the giggly ouchies – you and your partner desire. Throw in a little bondage and you have the recipe for a fantastic Friday night!

Presenter Bio:

Morgan Thorne has been practising BDSM all her adult life. She got an introduction to kink through the Queer community in the early 1990s and knew she had found ‘her people’.

Morgan has also spent a decade working as a Professional Dominant, which has allowed her to expand her skills as both a Top and a Dominant. Morgan has been offering workshops, lectures and BDSM training for a number of years as well. She has a successful Youtube channel where she educates about D/s relationships, BDSM basics and various kinky skills.

She is the author of two successful books about BDSM, including “Exploring BDSM: A Workbook for Couples (or More!) Discovering Kink“. A follow-up book is expected in early 2021.

Morgan identifies as both a Sadist and a Dominant. She enjoys playing with a variety of people of all orientations/genders/identities. BDSM is an integral part of her personal, romantic relationships. Morgan is both asexual and pan-romantic.

Prior to her work as a Professional Dominant, Morgan worked in health care. This has allowed her to gain a more thorough understanding of health and safety concerns in kink. She retired due to an injury that lead to chronic pain and disability. It also spurred her interest in medical play, a way to continue to use the skills she learned in health care and to find comfort in the loss of a much-loved career.

Morgan has been active in various forms of activism, including LGBTQIA rights and sex worker rights. She is a strong advocate for equality and the human rights of all people.
