SUMMARY:Fire Play 101 - If You Love Somebody\, Set Them on Fire - Live Online Class - November 10\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:The heat and intensity of fire draw us to this type of edge play\, but they also make it dangerous. In this Fire Play Workshop\, we will learn\, step by step\, how to set up a fire play scene. \nFrom Fire Safety 101\, we will learn how to handle fire safely\, what fuel to use\, and why. We will become comfortable handling fire ourselves in a controlled environment before even thinking of applying it to another person. Basic precautions and emergency care will be discussed\, as well as how to develop a plan for the worst-case scenario. \nSupplies will be provided for workshop participants to follow the instructions and create their torches to apply fire to themselves and a bottom (with instructor approval). For online classes\, a supply list will be provided to create your fire wand & try the techniques when you feel ready. \nTwo basic fire play techniques will be taught in the workshop: direct and indirect methods of play. Participants will learn how to apply each technique safely and properly to avoid burning their bottom’s skin. \nIf time allows\, a demo using the violet wand for fire play will be done\, with instructions on how to do it. \nThis workshop contains both a lecture-style portion and a hands-on portion. While no one is expected to do anything that they do not feel comfortable with\, it is encouraged that everyone participates in the hands-on portion of the workshop to get the most out of this class. \nMorgan Thorne (Nymphetamean) draws on not only her many years in kink but also her experience as a circus sideshow performer\, first with Circus of the Damned\, as a solo performer and currently with Triage Sideshow to teach the art of fire play. While fire play for kinky purposes differs from performance\, many aspects are the same. \nRecording: \nIf you cannot attend the live class\, it will be recorded. DESCRIPTION:Play Piercing is very popular in kink culture; however\, finding a knowledgeable and experienced person to teach you is difficult. Morgan Thorne comes from a medical and professional piercing background – she deeply understands medical asepsis techniques and why they must be observed\, even between fluid-bonded partners. Play Piercing 101 is the most thorough workshop for BDSM/kink play piercing practices you are likely to find anywhere! \nDuring the first part of the workshop\, we will discuss medical asepsis technique\, the supplies you will need\, where to buy them and how much they cost. We will look at the anatomy of the skin\, risk factors for play and how to select the right needles for your play. \nIn the second part of the class\, we will watch Morgan perform a few piercings on a demo bottom or herself\, so you can observe proper technique. She will walk you through each step\, from how to set up an aseptic field\, put on gloves\, skin prep\, how to hold the needle\, how much pressure to use\, etc. \n*Please Note* Since this class is 101\, we will only be discussing basic techniques; we will not be discussing genitals/nipples\, advanced needle techniques (such as layering needles) or anything beyond basic play piercing. \nStudents who complete Play Piercing 101 will be sent an invitation to attend Play Piercing 201 where we discuss more advanced techniques\, such as piercing nipples & genitals\, “pain buttons”\, weaving needles and more. This class depends on demo bottoms\, so it runs less often than 101.
