Online – Negotiating for BDSM Play & Relationships

Negotiation is one of the fundamental skills a person needs to explore BDSM. It is how we get the scenes and relationships we want, it ensures that we are on the same page as our partners and helps to ensure that we have affirmative, informed consent. 

We will begin with the basics. We will deconstruct affirmative, informed consent and discover why it’s the gold standard in BDSM. We will talk about different consent and negotiation styles and where they are best suited. Each participant is encouraged to think about their own risk profile and what level of risk is acceptable for them using the SSC, RACK, PRICK & the 4 C’s.

Developing the skills needed for negotiation can be difficult. Strategies for gaining these skills, for discovering your own boundaries and limits will be discussed.

Finally, we will talk about what elements you may want to include in your negotiations. You are encouraged to think about which elements you will want to use in varying situations – what a person discusses for a pick-up play scene will be different than what they negotiate in a TPE style relationship.
