Play Piercing is very popular in kink culture, however, finding a knowledgeable and experienced person to teach you is difficult. Morgan Thorne comes from both a medical and professional piercing background – she has a deep understanding of medical asepsis techniques and why they must be observed, even between fluid bonded partners. Play Piercing 101 is the most thorough workshop for BDSM/kink play piercing practices.

During the first part of the workshop, we will discuss medical asepsis techniques, the supplies you will need, where to buy them and how much they cost (hint: not as much as you might think). We will also look at the anatomy of the skin and how much of it we will be sticking a needle in.

In the second part of the class, we will watch Morgan perform a few piercings on a demo bottom, so you can observe proper technique. She will walk you through each step, from how to put on gloves, skin prep, how to hold the needle, how much pressure to use, etc. Class participants will then be able to try out what they have learned with their own bottoms, if they have one, or with the demo bottom if he/she feels comfortable with that participant (please note that this is not a guarantee, both Morgan and the demo bottom must feel comfortable with your participation in this section of the class)

**Since this class in 101, we will only be discussing basic technique, we will not be discussing genitals/nipples, advanced needle techniques (such as layering needles) or anything beyond basic play piercing. For more advanced techniques, please see Play Piercing 201.

The workshop generally involves demonstrations on a live model. This means that there will be small amounts of blood. All biohazardous material is disposed of in a way that complies with local regulations.
