Surprise BDSM Hotel!
Let me set the scene for you: your flight is cancelled or delayed, so the airline says they will get you a hotel room for the night. You’re tired, but it’s the best solution and your new flight leaves in the morning. You arrive at the hotel and walk into the room, only to find a St. Andrew’s cross and other kinky paraphernalia. Surprise! You’ve checked into a BDSM hotel! (the article is in Spanish, so use translate if needed)
While readers of my blog probably would see this as a positive thing, the guests in question were less than impressed.
Don’t they make black leather wallpaper?
The rooms, from the pictures, are terribly decorated. Black and gold floral carpet, strange purple wallpaper and a purple and white floral comforter on the bed don’t really scream “dungeon”, but obviously my tastes are a bit different than the owners.
Located in Chongqing, China, this BDSM Hotel was accidentally booked by the airline, mistaking it for a more traditional hotel.
The guests, two single women, were not impressed. They joked about the room being their valentines gift and shared pictures on social media. The airline did not respond to the complaints about the BDSM hotel on social media since they were overwhelmed by questions and complaints regarding the cancelled flights, which was due to snow.
How would you react?
So what would your reaction be?
Would you think it was a happy mistake or be upset at such inappropriate accommodations? Would you have brought this to the attention of the airline, so it didn’t happen to other people, or have a quiet giggle about it?
Honestly, I might be tempted to enjoy the room, but let the airline know the next day – but that would really depend on who I’m travelling with! I mean, that could be an awkward thing if you’re travelling with family or work!
