Ok, that title might be a little click-baity, I will admit.
If you’ve paid attention to the right side of the screen, you will know that I’m talking about the Everything To Do With Sex Show in Toronto, brought to us by the good folks at Canwest Productions who put on the Taboo series of sexuality trade shows. I am super excited to be a part of the team this year – I’m new to this show (I’ve attended, but only as a paying customer). You guys know I love doing vanilla outreach at Sexapalooza, so this is an exciting chance to reach even more people and have even more fun!
I will be helping to organise and run the Community Dungeon at the show. It’s a place of learning and exploration. Our focus is on presenting a welcoming and open experience of BDSM for those who are brand new as well as a safe place to chat and learn for those who are already part of the community or are experienced in kink within their relationships. We will have a bunch of demos and “edutainment” sessions through each day of the show. These are designed to not only be entertaining but to help inform people about important aspects of BDSM or some of the more common kinks.
If you’re in the Toronto area, I hope you will join us at the show. I will have a booth, staffed by my boy Sage (I know you guys love him!) so be sure to say hi! I will have my first book, A Guide to Classic Discipline, available for sale. Just in time for the show, I will be releasing another book, Exploring BDSM – A Workbook for Couples (or More!) Discovering Kink (more info on that coming very soon). We will also have some fun kink toys for sale, so you can pick up some quality paddles and more. Finally, Sage will have some originals and prints of his fantastic art available for sale. Don’t worry if you can’t make it out, I’m building a website for him where you will be able to order directly!
The show runs Friday November 24th from 5pm to Midnight, Saturday November 25 from Noon-Midnight, and Sunday November 26 from Noon to 6pm. Find me in the Community Dungeon (and check out an article I wrote for the show guide on talking to your partner about BDSM). Find Sage and our booth in the Kinky Market Place (which should be just outside the dungeon). Free spankings if you know me from Youtube (who am I kidding, everyone gets free spankings!)
The following week, I will be doing my BDSM Basics class at Kink BDSM Boutique in Toronto. Space is limited, so if you’re planning on attending, make sure you purchase tickets ASAP! This will be my first time teaching in this relatively new shop, which will be open for a bit of time after the class if you want to purchase something interesting for later at home. I will be posting more about that a little closer to the time of the class (December 3rd).
Finally, I get asked a lot about what books I would suggest for people just getting into kink. In addition to my book – which is geared towards the beginner to an intermediate crowd, I have a few other favourites. I’ve put them together in a shop on Amazon. Yes, it’s an affiliate link. By purchasing through this link, it won’t cost you a dime, but it will help me continue to bring you quality BDSM educational information!
