Play Piercing 101 – Live Online Class – September 29, 2024
September 29 @ 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM EDT
$25Play Piercing is very popular in kink culture; however, finding a knowledgeable and experienced person to teach you is difficult. Morgan Thorne comes from a medical and professional piercing background – she deeply understands medical asepsis techniques and why they must be observed, even between fluid-bonded partners. Play Piercing 101 is the most thorough workshop for BDSM/kink play piercing practices you are likely to find anywhere!
During the first part of the workshop, we will discuss medical asepsis technique, the supplies you will need, where to buy them and how much they cost. We will look at the anatomy of the skin, risk factors for play and how to select the right needles for your play.
In the second part of the class, we will watch Morgan perform a few piercings on a demo bottom or herself, so you can observe proper technique. She will walk you through each step, from how to set up an aseptic field, put on gloves, skin prep, how to hold the needle, how much pressure to use, etc.
*Please Note* Since this class is 101, we will only be discussing basic techniques; we will not be discussing genitals/nipples, advanced needle techniques (such as layering needles) or anything beyond basic play piercing.
Students who complete Play Piercing 101 will be sent an invitation to attend Play Piercing 201 where we discuss more advanced techniques, such as piercing nipples & genitals, “pain buttons”, weaving needles and more. This class depends on demo bottoms, so it runs less often than 101. You must agree to future contact via email to receive this invite.
The workshop involves demonstrations with a live model, which means that small amounts of blood will be present. All biohazardous material is disposed of in a way that complies with local regulations.
The Play Piercing 101 Workshop is presented in gender-neutral terms, recognizing that not all people conform to a gender binary. This class is a safe space for LGBTQA people; attendees must respect that.
