Kinksters enjoy a wide range of medical play, much of it breaks the skin or is otherwise invasive to the body (such as sounding). This type of play requires a level a cleanliness and attention to detail that can be difficult to learn on one’s own, from a book or online. Medical Aseptic Technique for BDSM Play will demonstrate how to minimize risk while having fun.

This class offers in-depth and hands-on training on how to practice medical aseptic technique for BDSM play – using the best available products and procedures to minimize the spread of infection and disease. You will receive a practical education on the products available, their relative costs, effectiveness and overall worth as well as the things you really want to look out for.

Time will be dedicated to busting the common myths and misconceptions common within BDSM communities, putting to rest many of the persistent rumours. This class will emphasise the importance of practising medical aseptic techniques for BDSM play and show how it can be used without getting in the way of fun. Ample time will be set aside for questions and answers at the end.

The workshop contains both a lecture style component and hands-on training. Participants can expect to be putting on gloves, prepping skin and using various cleaning products. Medical Aseptic Technique for BDSM Play is a required class for the Medical Play Intensive Workshop and is the foundation of many forms of medical play.

Medical Aseptic Technique for BDSM Play Length:

This class runs for approximately 1.5 – 2.5 hours, depending on the detail and number of questions (time is set aside for questions both during and after the presentation). The shorter version of this workshop is ideal for conventions and other multi-workshop events.

A slightly shorter version of this class is available as part of the Medical Play Intensive.

Medical Aseptic Technique for BDSM Play is the foundation of the Medical Play Intensive and is a required component.

Medical Aseptic Technique for BDSM Play Details:

This class is best suited to groups of 10 – 25 people.

This class does involve a demonstration involving latex gloves. If any participants have latex allergies, this demonstration can be skipped. Nitrile gloves are used in all other parts of the class.

Medical Aseptic Technique for BDSM Play is presented in gender-neutral terms, in recognition that not all people conform to a gender binary. This class is a safe space for LGBTQA people, attendees are expected to respect that.

Medical Aseptic Technique for BDSM Play has an optional PowerPoint presentation, to help visual learners. A screen and projector are required for this option.
